
Originally an international tax consultant with Deloitte, PricewaterhouseCoopers and KPMG, he transitioned into the L&D industry after his arrival in Japan in 2002, where he has been based ever since. In addition to being a key partner for RedBikeHRD, Andy runs Platinum Training Consultants in Tokyo and is a Professor at Kenichi Ohmae Graduate School of Business. With his extensive experience in Japan, he collaborates on many of our Japanese training engagements.
Andrew’s L&D certifications include Advanced Training in Conflict Management from Kilmann Diagnostics, David Novak Leadership, Global Leadership Coach, Hogan Assessments, Kirkpatrick Model — Four Levels Evaluation, Marshall Goldsmith Stakeholder-Centered Coaching, Points of You, Prosci ADKAR Change Management, and Virtual Training from the Center for Accelerated Learning.
An avid cyclist, Andrew is co-Chair of The Knights in White Lycra – a Japan-based fundraising group of people of all ages and backgrounds, who through sporting and social events, give marginalized children living in care better prospects of a successful outcome in adult life. To date KIWL has raised over ¥130 million to support these projects.
Andrew was born in Newcastle and has since worked, studied and lived in Sri Lanka, Leeds, South Carolina, London, Sydney and currently Tokyo.
