The RSVP Colourblind® activity is a communication exercise which develops team-building skills and helps teams recognize problems caused by imprecise communication and language. It is a verbal experiential-learning activity that is used to improve team problem-solving and listening skills.

RedBikeHRD has incorporated this activity into our own proprietary Global Aviation Communication program that simulates the same verbal and auditory communication training taken by aspiring international airline pilots — where failure to communicate clearly can literally result in life or death.

Wearing blindfolds to ensure total dependence upon the quality of their verbal communication, a group works together to gather information that will allow them to solve a puzzle. The size of the group demands different types of communication techniques and skills:  active listening and questioning, ability to clarify and summarize, need for feedback to ensure understanding, information and group management, and verbal sequencing.
